Chris Casey, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP has joined Huitt-Zollars as Vice President in Houston, Texas. In this role, he will be leading the Public Works Civic Buildings practice, both as a Senior Project Manager and Business Development Leader. Chris graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture and completed his Master of Architecture in 2000 from Rice University.
Prior to joining Huitt-Zollars, his career has focused nearly exclusively on public sector clients. With over 15 years of experience as an Architect working in planning, programming, and designing over 150 projects in 20 states including City of Port Arthur’s police and courts renovation; University of Houston Energy Research Park – a 20 year master plan; City of League City’s public safety facility; the Houston Airport System (HAS) Office and Maintenance Buildings; City of Houston’s Bethel Church Park; and the 31.6 Million SF Chevron Phillips Petrochem Complex, he brings extensive experience to the company. He has developed a deep understanding for the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities that are inherent in projects that are supported through public funding.
When Chris is not busy in the office, he volunteers for the ACE Mentor Program (which promotes interest in Architecture and Engineering for high school students) and RAMP (Rice Architecture Mentoring Program).
