Huitt-Zollars announces the addition of Chris Whitney, AIA, as Vice President in our Orlando Office. In this capacity Whitney will lead our Higher Education and Institutional Practice in the Southeast market.
Whitney brings with him a long list of university experience spanning from Ohio State University to the University of Central Florida. His specialty is planning and programming large facilities including most recently a 600,000 GSF medical school master plan for the Uniform Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. With a studentfocused approach he has brought his national research project to include faculty research at Florida Poly Tech and many future regional institutions of higher learning. His institutional experience includes a local museum and a new civic center in central Florida.
“Being part of a complete architectural and engineering design firm will leverage our diversity for our institutional clients by providing a onestopshop level of service. I look forward to blending the amazing skills of our talent in Orlando with the outstanding resources spread across the firm.”
Whitney is actively involved in the community by serving on local foundation boards, being recognized as a Richard UpJohn Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, and serving over 20 years in Rotary International, in which he is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
We’re excited to welcome Chris Whitney to the Huitt-Zollars team!
