The Walsh Ranch Quail Valley development is a 1,700-acre master planned community located within the City of Fort Worth. The development will consist of nearly 3,000 single‑family residential lots including a large Amenity Village Complex and as many as three elementary schools.
Due to our local knowledge and national expertise in master planned communities, we were contacted by several national developers to join them in the pursuit of this project. One of those developers was Republic Property Group (RPG) with whom we have a long standing relationship. With their expertise, and our successful working relationship together, it only made sense to pursue this project with them.
The proposal effort was a three-phase process: longlist, shortlist, and Questions and Answers. Huitt-Zollars’ role in this effort began in the longlist phase. Firm qualifications were submitted to RPG for inclusion in their submittal. Next step was the shortlist phase where we presented the planning and design approach to address areas of cost savings, identify potential risks, and provided mitigation of risks. During the final Questions and Answers phase, Huitt-Zollars supported RPG in the responses related to the engineering scope of work.
