Hillhouse Service Center | Pearland, Texas
Client: City of Pearland
Huitt-Zollars programmed and designed the Hillhouse Service Center. The project included development of a 10-acre site with significant challenges for detention, storm water quality, and mitigation due to its location within the floodplain. Included in initial development is an 8,000-SF Traffic Engineering and Operations Building consisting of administrative offices; a supporting server room, where signal and camera data are displayed in real time; signal maintenance shop; storage rooms, break room, restrooms, and locker room. Huitt-Zollars designed the emergency power and vehicle fueling island with canopy for two 12,000-gallon diesel and gasoline, dual walled, above ground storage tanks with a fuel management system.
