Fire Station Renovations | Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Client: City of Rio Rancho
Huitt-Zollars provided the design and construction phase services to renovate Fire Stations 2 and 3 for the City of Rio Rancho. Each station required extensive demolition coupled with interior and exterior renovations. The designs provide high functionality and meet ADA requirements, while supporting efficiency. Both stations received new HVAC, lighting, power and communications systems; the projects were designed to utilize the existing site utilities and landscape, coupled with added site improvements to reduce construction costs. As critical buildings, the two stations were designed and bid as one project to expedite construction time, reduce project costs, and minimize downtime for each facility.
