National Cemetery of the Pacific Improvements
Huitt-Zollars provided structural engineering, participated in site planning, and provided project management assistance for one of the most popular locations in Hawaii. Located on a significant historical and geological landmark (volcanic crater) the 116-acre National Cemetery of the Pacific is a dominant landmark in downtown Honolulu. The project expansion and improvements will increase interment capacity by 6,000 to 9,000 columbaria niches, and accommodate projected burial capacity for at least 15 years.
