IH-10 Interchange/Redd Road | El Paso, Texas

Huitt-Zollars provided PS&E preparation of the Redd Road Diamond Interchange at IH-10. This urban highway design included a new overpass, four ramps, mainlanes, improvements to existing frontage roads, and a three-span superstructure bridge utilizing TxDOT's new U beams. Special architectural treatments were utilized on the traffic rail, substructure elements, and retaining wall approaches. Plans included horizontal and vertical geometry, extensive retaining wall bridge design, surveying, signing, pavement marking, traffic signals, illumination, and traffic control planning. The storm drainage component included replacing four bridges on IH-10 with two culverts and enclosing an open drainage channel.
