Huitt-Zollars is excited to announce Tamra Dann, PE has joined the firm as a Vice President in our transportation practice. Her role will include leading business initiatives and client relations focused on the growth of our rail and transit market sector in the Northeast region.
Tamra comes to Huitt-Zollars with over 29 years of diverse experience gained working for a regional transit authority, state DOT, and engineering consultant firms. She brings insight in multimodal transportation, water resources, private and municipal economics, state and federal missions, and understanding motivations and risk. Her breadth of engineering scoping and project execution comes from her extensive involvement with roadway, rail, transit, stormwater, and natural gas projects.
Tamra has had success managing large contracts for public and private clients and a program for a federal agency, where she streamlined operations through project management, data procurement, engineering and modeling, and agency coordination. Holding director-level positions in project compliance and project development for Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), she brings firsthand knowledge of state and national compliance requirements such as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In these roles, Tamra worked closely with FTA, FRA, and Capital Budgets, and gained invaluable experience in capital project programming and development.
Tamra is a licensed engineer in Pennsylvania and earned a Master of Engineering in Environmental Pollution Control and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. She’s also received a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Lebow College of Business. Tamra served as Charter President of the PSU Harrisburg Civil Engineering Advisory Board and Vice Chair of the PA Association of Floodplain Managers. She has also served in board-level roles in Toastmasters and received Advanced Communicator Silver Award and Advanced Leader Bronze Awards.
