Cedars-Sinai Medical Center - Pediatric Unit

The Fashion Industry Guild donated funds for the upgrade of finishes, redesign of all casework, purchase of new furniture, and to replace headwalls in three patient rooms, toilets, and vestibule/work area for the Peds Acute Care Unit on the 4th floor of the North Tower.  The project scope also included an upgrade of the mechanical systems to correct inadequate conditioning of the patient rooms.  In this initial concept sketch using BIM software, Morris Architects was able to explore various ideas for form and imagery around the painting “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. Using elements and colors from the painting, the team created images that are visually interesting and a color scheme that is based on the color palette from the painting itself.  The remodel area consisted of 990 square feet and the anticipated cost of construction is $500,000.
