Named as one of the “Best Places to Live in Arizona” by Arizona Foothills Magazine, DMB along with Huitt-Zollars and its partners created a City within a City. Situated on 3,200 acres in Mesa, the Eastmark Master Planned Community is on the way to becoming one of the most thoughtfully planned, innovative communities in the country. Civic areas such as parks, schools, and businesses are being weaved into the fabric of the community, uniting its residents and visitors. The Eastmark project included 4.5 miles of infrastructure for close to 750 lots and a 10-acre park in the first phase.
The Huitt-Zollars team provided planning, survey, and final engineering services for 4.5 miles of arterial infrastructure roadway and 1 mile of drainage channel infrastructure. In the second phase, Huitt-Zollars designed another 2.5 miles of infrastructure roadway and an additional 1,000 lots. Huitt-Zollars was responsible for all civil engineering design including paving, grading and drainage, water, and sewer and storm drain design for the infrastructure roadways and parcels associated with the Eastmark Master Planned Community. Huitt-Zollars was also involved in the design of a 1.7-acre Community Center, a major focal point of the community, and a 4-acre BASIS
Mesa School site. Our team provided field survey, preliminary design, final engineering, and construction administration services. Extensive coordination was required with the City of Mesa, the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, and all the utility companies to complete the project.
