Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is a high security center of industrial excellence for rotary wing aircraft. It is the largest helicopter repair facility in the world. It serves as a rebuild facility for the entire airframe, but parts of the facility were decades old and created operational inefficiencies for the maintenance staff. Project scope of this task comprised facility and site master planning to include space planning, programming, equipment needs identification and sequence of acquisition of equipment, overall project definition and funding/construction sequencing alternatives. Huitt-Zollars provided 100% of the design services for this project.
