Huitt-Zollars is pleased to announce the promotion of Alyssa Ardourel, PE, to Vice President and Principal in our Seattle office. In her new role, Alyssa will lead the public works and transportation practices in our Seattle office. Her responsibilities will encompass supervising our dedicated team, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, nurturing client partnerships, orchestrating project management, and leading business development initiatives. Alyssa is also assuming the role of Managing Principal of the Seattle office.
Alyssa brings more than 10 years of civil engineering experience to the role and has been with the firm since 2014. She is experienced with projects and programs for municipal and agency clients, including City of Redmond, North Thurston Public Schools, Pierce Transit, and Sound Transit. Her project experience includes project management, program delivery, site planning and design, pedestrian and vehicular circulation improvements, utility systems, storm water management, and construction administration services.
Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an Environmental Engineering specialization from Seattle University. She is involved in the local professional community as member of the American Public Works Association (APWA). She served as Co-Chair of the Emerging Professionals Committee from 2018 – 2022 and currently serves as Chair of the Mentorship Committee for the Washington State Chapter of AWPA. In 2021, Alyssa was recognized with the Young Leader Award by the APWA WA Chapter, the award recognizes and encourages young public works leaders who demonstrate commitment to the profession and show potential for future growth with APWA. She was also a part of the National APWA Emerging Leaders Academy, Class XVI, a year-long program providing intensive leadership and management training within the context of public works.
