Huitt-Zollars is pleased to announce the appointment of Miguel Hernandez, P.E., PLS, QSD, to Vice President. In this role, Miguel currently leads the public works team in the Irvine office overseeing daily activities, maintaining client relationships, managing projects, and leading business development initiatives.
Since joining the firm in 2017, Miguel has consistently demonstrated knowledge, diligence, and leadership on every project that he has managed. His experience combined with his ability to communicate has led to improved operational performance and delivery of quality projects on time and budget. Miguel has provided his expertise on several projects for local municipalities, flood control districts, and counties as well as higher education and healthcare. Notable projects include Pine Avenue; LACCD Harbor College 3 Stormwater project; Oakmont Park and Live Oak Canyon Creek Design Evaluation and Repair; and OCWD Smith Basin Rehabilitation.
Miguel earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a licensed Civil Engineer, Land Surveyor, and qualified SWPPP Developer in the state of California. Additionally, he is involved with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Building Industry Association (BIA), and Toastmasters International.
