Huitt-Zollars provided professional architectural and engineering services to perform a comprehensive facility condition assessment of the 3-story Harris County Flood Control District’s Administration Building in Houston, Texas. The building is approximately 52,000 GSF. The Project included the architectural and engineering assessment including the following elements: architectural building envelope, roof, and finishes; code and ADA issues; structural assessment and 3D model; parking and site assessment; and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems. Multi-discipline teams of professionals conducted visual inspections of the facility to document existing conditions, inventory and deficiencies. The deficiency data was compiled in a data base and utilized to provide a Life Cycle Analysis and a Facility Condition Index for the facility for the purpose of space planning, future maintenance and capital funding.
