San Jacinto South Campus Cosmetology Building

The new 41,300 SF building provided updated cosmetology instructional labs and support spaces for core cosmetology, aesthetics, and facial specialty programs. Huitt-Zollars’ role was to design an efficient, cost-effective building that would provide the new spaces required for the program and enhance the interaction between buildings and the campus as intended in the master plan. In addition to creating community interaction through providing a dedicated retail store front for client services, the new building included cosmetology departmental offices, multipurpose spaces, a student lounge, and building support that accommodates the cosmetology program while also allowing for a more visible location on campus that allows for more customer traffic.
