Huitt-Zollars provided civil, architectural, interior, and landscaping design and survey services to CDM Smith for the City of Sugar Land’s largest capital improvement project ever completed by the City. The $69 million surface water treatment plant is at the intersection of Voss and Burney Roads adjacent to Gannoway Lake. The main plant size is 41 acres. Located on the site are the following buildings and structures: Administration/Membrane Building, Chemical Building, Sludge Building, Floc/Sed structure, GAC structure, Main Electrical Distribution Building and a Maintenance Building. Huitt-Zollars also designed all underground water lines, roadways, parking areas, and sidewalks on the premises.
