Dallas Love Field Entrance at Cedar Springs Road

Huitt-Zollars prepared the design to reconstruct and modernize the Cedar Springs Road entrance to Love Field Airport. Beginning at Mockingbird Lane, the project provided for the reconstruction of 4,000 feet of the six-lane divided thoroughfare. The roadway was subject to inundation during storm events and required new storm drain facilities. Additional infrastructure included water and sanitary sewer utilities, traffic signals, landscape architecture and urban design, innovative roadway illumination, and an FBO parking lot. Since the roadway is the only entrance to the air carrier terminal, construction phasing was a major concern for ingress and egress to the terminal, cargo facilities, and parking structures.
