Huitt-Zollars developed design and construction contract and right-of-way acquisition documents for the widening of a three-span, precast concrete twin tee girder structure over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), including widening of approximately 1,500 linear feet of approach roadway. The work involved public involvement, structure design, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, storm sewer, utility improvements, construction phasing, construction and permanent signing and striping, landscape concept development, and environmental clearances. Huitt-Zollars coordinated with UPRR for the acquisition of railroad construction approval and continued to assist the Town of Castle Rock with construction bidding and throughout construction completion.
