In an effort to update the City’s bus maintenance and service facilities built in the 1920's, the FWTA retained Huitt-Zollars to provide complete architectural and engineering services. The renovated 15-acre complex encompasses an administrative center, vehicle maintenance structure, body shop, and service, wash, and yard maintenance buildings. Huitt-Zollars’ contract included schematic drawings, detailed A/E designs, contract plans and specifications, and equipment layouts, while supervising all construction activities to ensure a quality finished product. A unique feature of the project included a phased work-around plan that allowed the facility to remain fully operational through construction.
