Immigration and Naturalization Services Facilities Group, through a contract with the Fort Worth District Corps of Engineers, selected Huitt-Zollars to master plan and design a new Sector Headquarters facility in Del Rio, Texas. The design encompassed a facility to house 220 agents on a 23.2-acre site. The Sector Headquarters building (45,348 square feet) housed the management, administration, intelligence, training, communications, and property seizure personnel and served the complex as the point of public visitor interface. The Anti-Smuggling Unit building (6,930 square feet) housed the anti-smuggling operation and prosecution personnel.
