We are pleased to announce Michael Bormann, PE, has joined Huitt-Zollars as an Associate. In his role, Michael will primarily focus on project execution and client management for our federal practice area.
Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in construction and project management to Huitt-Zollars. Prior to joining the firm, he had a long career with the US Army Corps of Engineers in a variety of positions, Project Engineer, Resident Engineer, Chief of Professional Services, Director of San Antonio Military Medical Center, Director of Dallas Floodway, and Area Engineer. Michael’s diverse background and knowledge includes construction management for government agencies, program/project management, special projects and coordination, and personnel development. He has managed several Billion-Dollar Programs including a base realignment and closure, a world-class military medical hospital, and an infrastructure program.
Michael is a licensed engineer in Texas and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Additionally, he is a certified asbestos abatement supervisor in Texas and earned a certification in program and project management from the Corps of Engineers. Michael has also been the recipient of multiple awards including Southwestern Division Construction Management Excellence Award, Southwestern Division Program Manager of Year Award, Southwestern Division Superior Service Awards, and Fort Worth District Commander Awards.
