Fort Bend County Sheriff Admin Building

Architectural and engineering services were provided for a new 48,000- square-foot, three-story Fort Bend County Sheriff Office’s Administration Building in Richmond, Texas, which opened in June of 2019.  The scope of work for the $9.9 million project included design of the new administration building with office space including secure areas for the Sheriff’s Office, the Executive Bureau, the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Patrol Division; conference rooms; a multi-purpose room; a bunkroom; locker rooms; restrooms; and waiting areas.

Wallisville DPS Drivers License Facility

Huitt-Zollars was selected to prepare plans and specifications and provide construction administration for a new Department of Public Safety, Drivers License Facility in Chambers County, Texas.  Design includes offices, storage area, and site work.  Scope of work includes programming, space planning and utilization, preparation of construction documents, topographic surveying and construction phase services.

Stafford Fire Station No. 2

Huitt-Zollars designed a new combined Fire Department Administration Building and Fire Station for the City of Stafford. The facility sits on Mula Road in Stafford, Texas, adjacent to the existing one-story Fire Station No. 2. The scope of services for the project included preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documents as well as providing bidding and construction administration services.

Rio Rancho Fire Station #6

Huitt-Zollars provided the design and is currently in the final stages of the construction administration services for the new fire station facility in High Desert’s exclusive Mariposa subdivision. The site is a rural location in the northwestern high desert of Rio Rancho in close proximity to Bernalillo at Highway 550 and Unser Blvd. Because of the rural nature of the site all utilities, infrastructure, roadways, curbs, gutters, etc., had to be extended.

Rio Rancho Fire Station #7

The new station is located on Pyrite Road in an existing residential area in northeast Rio Rancho. The design for this 5,400 square foot station is based on the prototype design Huitt-Zollars developed for all new fire stations within the RRFD district. The proposed site for this station has a steep slope running east to west that will require numerous retaining walls and extensive grading. The station design includes a 4 vehicle apparatus bay, living quarters for a five person staff, kitchen area and training / exercise space.

Rosenberg Police Department Building

Huitt-Zollars served as Executive Architect for a 23,900 SF police facility which has been designed to meet a needs assessment for growth to the year 2005 with internal and planned expansion in the future. The one-story facility is a steel frame structure featuring multi-colored brick and pre-finished metal siding exterior and a standing seam metal roof. The exterior includes a clerestory to bring light into the interior spaces. Spac

Pearland Public Safety Building
