We are excited to announce that Ricardo “Ric” Vazquez, RPLS, has joined Huitt-Zollars as the Survey Department Manager in our Houston West office. A Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas with more than 30 years’ experience, he is well-versed in all aspects of land surveying.
Huitt-Zollars is excited to welcome back Robert (Bob) Powell, PE, as a Vice President in our Houston West office. In this role, Bob will lead business initiatives and client relations for the water resources department in Houston and throughout Southeast Texas, primarily serving the public works sector.
We are pleased to announce Katherine Mears, PE, ENV SP, has joined Huitt-Zollars as a Vice President in our Houston West office. In this role, Katherine will focus on leading and growing our public works practice in Southeast Texas. Katherine brings a diverse background of 25 years of project experience in water, wastewater, drainage, roadways, sidewalks, bikeways, traffic signals, and environmental documentation with clients ranging from municipalities, counties, and state agencies to utility districts.
Huitt-Zollars is excited to announce the recent hire of Don Young, PE, who has joined the company as a Vice President. In this role, he will focus on business development initiatives in the Federal sector as well as program management for large scale design/build federal projects.
We are pleased to announce Michael Bormann, PE, has joined Huitt-Zollars as an Associate. In his role, Michael will primarily focus on project execution and client management for our federal practice area.

Remi, an Associate and Civil Engineer in our Irvine office was the recipient of the 2021 Carl Blum Award given by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Los Angeles Section.
