Huitt-Zollars provided preliminary and final grading plans, utility plans, storm drain plans and calculations, hydrology and hydraulics, a water quality management plan, storm water pollution prevention plan, parcel and condo maps, road dedications, and site planning services. Huitt-Zollars provided site plan layout, preliminary grading and drainage design and construction documents for a two-story, 30,000 square-foot office building and parking lot located on approximately 1.5 acres. The site design included the use of porous concrete pavement to help reduce and treat stormwater runoff prior to releasing runoff into the public right-of-way. Also, to minimize the use of underground storm drain systems, a natural drainage swale was utilized on-site to help convey stormwater runoff around the building and to the adjacent roadway.
The Koll Center Spectrum Office Parks I, II, and III are located on three distinct parcels totaling 31 acres. The projects consisted of more than 436,000 square-foot of office space within 28 separate buildings. Huitt-Zollars prepared preliminary engineering documents necessary for planning commission approval, plus preliminary grading, drainage and utility concepts, a preconstruction ALTA survey, and boundary surveys.
As Design Engineer, Huitt-Zollars provided infrastructure improvements related to water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and roadway access for 120 acres within the City of Rio Rancho’s Central Business District. A fully collaborative effort was successfully executed between several different entities. The project was designed and constructed within an 11-month time frame to meet the strict agreement requirements between the City of Rio Rancho and the client. The compressed time frame was a unique aspect of the job, resulting in successful project completion two months ahead of schedule.

Air Liquide’s new American corporate headquarters facility joins three other office building completed for MetroNational in Houston’s burgeoning Energy Corridor. Houston is zone headquarters for Air Liquide’s U.S and American operations and one of three global hubs for Air Liquide Group. The building connects to a network of skywalks providing access to memorial City Mall and other neighboring Amenities within Memorial City. The Project is LEED Silver.
The expansion of the Kimbell Art Museum added 85,000 GSF to the existing museum. Huitt-Zollars provided preliminary utility investigation including researching the municipal utilities, contacting the franchise utilities, and on-site verification of information received.
Huitt-Zollars provided civil, architectural, interior, and landscaping design and survey services to CDM Smith for the City of Sugar Land’s largest capital improvement project ever completed by the City. The $69 million surface water treatment plant is at the intersection of Voss and Burney Roads adjacent to Gannoway Lake. The main plant size is 41 acres. Located on the site are the following buildings and structures: Administration/Membrane Building, Chemical Building, Sludge Building, Floc/Sed structure, GAC structure, Main Electrical Distribution Building and a Maintenance Building.
